Wands of wonder no longer IDing their flavor when aimed

Reported by: ekolis Assigned to: ctate
Milestone: 3.1.0 Version:
Keywords: Cc:

Description

I understand that the first time you aim a wand of wonder, you shouldn't know that it's a wand of wonder as opposed to whatever effect you just got... but if you aim it again and get something different, the wand should be flavor-ID'd, but it isn't.

This has never been the case, has it? Sometimes you'll get an undiscernable effect and the wand will be inscribed {tried}, right? But I seem to recall that Wands of Wonder have always revealed themselves as such, and never lied about being a Wand of Magic Missile or what have you.

Well, they USED to reveal themselves as you describe... but I was playing with the latest svn builds and it seems that wands of wonder are *never* revealing themselves, even when it's obvious that they are such because I've gotten 2 different effects from the same wand... so I think it's a bug, or at least a mis-feature.
